Fatty acid methyl esters are versatile products used in lubricants, metalworking fluids, fuels, agriculture, surfactants, polymers,  inks, coatings and plasticizers.  Several methyl esters are low cost compared to other esters having similar functionalities 

Methyl Esters fall in the category of green solvents, as they are biodegradable and have a very low VOC content
